1st ever post for me!
Just went down, Wisma office block. Small temporarily rented meeting room, only 2 guys, Clarence and some other fella. Their telemarketer Samuel Menon will tell you on the phone that their office is in Wisma like very legit, but it's just a small rented room and desk. Samuel told me that he isn't always there, but if he was on the day of my appt, he would come shake my hand. Looks like he's never there, cos it isn't their office. Starting with a lie, always a bad sign.
Wanted to photocopy my i/c, at least got PDPA waiver form, but couldn't provide a satisfactory reason why they need it. In the end, I just showed him without photocopy, but I did let them photocopy the invoices from AWS. Filled in another form to provide some basic personal data.
In the end, short meeting, because I told them my only objective is to take out the wine for myself. They said they would act as a bridge with CWT who stores the wine. Told Samuel previously over the phone that I would only come down if they could get me my wines at no charge, including storage charge, because I already gave up on it, told the previous company that they can keep it and I don't want it. He said "yes", even though it didn't make sense. Sure enough, Clarence mentioned storage charges, but that is for me to liase with CWT directly.
I asked Clarence how his company makes money, said he doesn't know, only gets a salary himself. He can't or won't tell you very much.
So that's it. Wait up to 14 working days for further contact from CWT. Whether legit or not, dunno yet. Supposedly, they will auction your wine if you want.
