I got contacted by RDS last week (Dec 2021), during New Year period and went to meet them today (6th Jan, 2021) at office is S9, Serangoon North Ave.

Over the phone, their offer is very tempting. They earn nothing until we collected all the money from the sale. They will help us recover and move your wines from CWT into their own chilled storage (at a one time cost of either 5.5k or 11.5k depending on your portfolio size) and then, thru' their own sales network & platform, they will help us sell the entire portfolio for you.. All money transaction is direct from buyer to us. (They won't be handling).

ONLY after the entire portfolio is sold and after we received all the money from buyer, we pay them, for
1) the service fee to withdraw from CWT ( 5.5k or 11.5k)
2) 10%(platform fee) +
3) 2%(Agent fee).

However, they needed some paperwork from me which is missing - Storage Delivery Order and Cargo Clearance Form. Does has anyone have any such document from AWI after our purchase (cuz I personally has never seen one)?

I told them that I have never seen such forms and they offerd help to do a search on those missing docs but will need to pay a refundable deposit of about $5,500. Saying this is to protect them, in case I change my mind decide not to engage them after they start work.

This is when things sounded fishy to me, will they just collect this $5,500 and then dissappear? Did they fabricate these 2 - Storage Delivery order form and Cargo Clearance form, knowing that I will definitely do not have them, in order to scam me into paying the deposit?

Anyone in the same shoe ... let's exchange notes here

Also contacted me with similar terms, but upfront already want $5,500 as service fee. Not as refundable amount.

This is an advance-fee fraud. They’re going to take the $5500 and nothing will come of it.

Unfortunately, there are companies that prey on people who‘ve already been victimised by scams. They contact the scam victims, offering to help them get their money back for a fee payable in advance. Then they disappear with the fee.

Don’t pay them.

AWI scam and any money matters related to AWI scam has been on going for more than 10 years. Don't put anymore good money into the black hole.
