Average Iphone 5S battery usage

went to do a full 8h battery charge after a complete drain of the battery (as told by the tech support). This morning 9am, i woke up, and leave it standby till 12pm. battery drop from 100% to 80% in 3hrs. is it considered normal? tech:):) support told me that if every 10mins lose 5% is considered 'battery faulty'. Kindly share your battery usage of iphone 5S :)
