Avg cost for Dec trip

Hi, I'm planning family trip this Dec.
Been planning since beginning of the year but cancel due to work commitment.

I'm able to commit again, wish to check roughly how much will it cost for budgeting purpose.

10days mid Dec (10 onwards).

Day1 Airport to Taichung
Day2 Taichung to Cingjing
Day3 Cingjing
Day4 Cingjing to Hualien
Day5 Hualien
Day6 Hualien to Yilan
Day7 Yilan to jiufen shifen
Day8 to 10 Taipei

Confirm not going to south Taiwan, but may adjust schedule to include SML.

Airfare (check SQ around 1.2k, scoot 800!!! Omg why so expensive, I though 400,500 only)
Hotel (minus will do, no need 5*)
Transport (prefer private bus for 5~6 days. Day2 to day7).

I went tw in December last year, from mid Dec for about 8-9 days too. The air tix was about $330/pax with 20kg luggage via scoot. Accommodation was most expensive at cingjing @ 3000TWD/night/room. The rest of the accom at Taipei and Taichung was ok, approx 1700TWD/night/room. We hired driver for 4 days for our trip to hehuanshan, cingjing, sunmoonlake, rainbow village, zhongshe flower market for around 18000TWD in total (excluding driver’s accom.

So cheap? I check this morning, $700 to $800 leh (bag+eat)

Do update if you manage to find flights lower than $500. I did a search similarly for 2 weeks trip to taiwan mid dec to new year, but all carriers are above $500

Dec whole month consider peak period and near xmas is super peak so TW tickets hard to find below 500 even for budget one unless you buy super like in may or what during some promo.

I'm also travelling to tw in Dec, flying on 15th returning on 23rd.

Taking ScootBiz one way to Taipei $451, and returning on EvaAir $304 (cuz EvaAir returning flight times are better for me).

Last year sept, I buy SQ ticket to fly in march 2018, during promo $420 all in.

Sadly true leh, and alot of date limited seats.

I did find below or avg 500 mid Dec when I chk around on scoot website. But is selected date with no checkin bag no meal, very restricted.

Guess if want to travel during these period, have to accept higher price.

Yea, or book earlier when there is a promo. Can pm dede, recently got any flight promo to tw, he always monitor.
