Dear bros, if you are doubtful on this thing. Do check it out, i think there is no point sitting here and keep saying "its impossible", "bluff one".

If anyone here is a master investor, please, by all means, i totally agree that this product is no good for u as you might be getting yourself more return than this thing.

If not, why not let the professionals do the investing for you? Yes they do charge fees, but who will work for free? right?

No offence, for brothers here that have been investing for more than 10 years, just curious, do you get a consistent year on year of more than 2.38% return. If yes, then you are there. This plan is not good for you because you are there. If not, then since this a good vehicle, why not?

I think this is the same problem when i created retirement fund in this forum.

People who visit this forum often, are people who are willing to spend time analyzing data and information. Sounds weird, but my definition of information is analyzed data, and data is defined as RAW data. But anyway, i believe most people here are "There". Meaning they can easily beat the 2.38% in averaged of 5 years (Giving the investors some buffer, because comparing to those endowment plan they lock you like 20 years?)

Even for a newbie investor like me, i am yielding on 4.7% in the last 2 years (2010 and 2011). Just pick some good stocks and shake your leg, whenever you are free, look at charts to pick up some other potential stocks or growth stocks, find your entry point. Given a time frame, i am confident that almost every careful investor is able to beat 2.38% in any 5 years block.

But once again, if and only if the person is interested.

Please refer to Aviva's website. Its all there. =)

What does it show me? Projected case scenario? Do not misunderstand,I believe in insurance and not advocating BTIR but when you wanna say up to 500% returns, pls indicate it is non guaranteed as well.

With no references on history of paying out non guaranteed returns,I would suggest giving this a miss. Especially after you read this link.

im very new to the market so i dun have any consistency to tok about... but i have build my portfolio very defensively and it is still generating a much higher return than 2.38% (perhaps im lucky)... and i think it is not too difficult to beat 2.38% too, jus put it in some perpetual bonds like genting and hyflux

My humble opinion, to be able to invest with positive return the past 2 years is not difficult. It is a recovery phrase where most stock come back up. The test comes when there is a downturn, can your portfolio not be affected? This is the part that require skills.

Not everyone can be a good investor. This is why majority of the people still lose money in the stock market.

The other thing to remember is at good times, stock markets would seem so easy to win money. Surviving a market crash though is something else.

For someone who has put money at the peak of 2007, till now they are still at a loss. That is a 5 year period. It would take longer than 5 years to return back to that peak again and the worse seems to be coming again.

It is weird that people seems to only want to remember the times they won money on the market but automatically try to forget when they loses. In fact if you really want to be a good investor, you should remember how you loses money.

How small is your bits?
That's an awfully personal question.

Of course if you can find lobang like this.. do PM me or share in the forum.

Bonds is good.. But no normal singaporean will ever get a 30years SGS bonds.

I'll tell you what, because I am a nice person, I'm going to resist the temptation to make fun of you for not knowing this: you can buy secondary-market Singapore government bonds on the SGX, in lots of $1,000.

You're welcome.

Free gifts or commision rebate

I recalled that when the product was first launched in 2012, Aviva offered free vouchers and iPads. This promotion had however ended. Are there any other agents/FA who able to offer similar freebies?

How about commission rebates? I read that fundsupermart offered a 50% rebate on selected products in May 2013.

Sorry but I chuckled at this. Agents and FAs offering free iPads? It just shows how lucrative this product is :s13::s13:

I was hoping that some agents/FAs out there can provide some insights. I will consider buying from someone who can provide a good deal.

For My Retirement, the fixed yield excluding all potential revisionary bonus and terminal bonus is up to 2.38%p.a, depends on your entry age and selected withdrawal age. If you are in 20s and select withdrawal age on or after 65 years old, the total projected return including guaranteed and non-guaranteed returns (under 5.75% investment return of par fund) can exceed 500% based on the benefit illustration. You can walk in any DBS/POSB branches to check out this plan.

:s13: The yield is crap, buy SGS bonds also better than throwing money to them.

No offence but professionals term is too loosely used. My mother and brother let the professionals do the investing for them, in the red for a long time. :s8:

In the financial market, any tom, dick and harry can be better than these so-called professionals if they just bother to learn more. These professionals are only good at changing numbers in excel and talking crap to get customers to buy the products and earn money from them, you think they have any investment knowledge to talk about.
