Does anyone here use avocado oil ? How do you store it?
Almost all avocado oils, like olive oils, are fake, so store them like any RBD oil, as they are usually made from low-quality refined seed oils such as canola or soy.Does anyone here use avocado oil ? How do you store it?

Where do you buy from?Got different grade for different purposes. Some more refined for high heat cooking. Some less refined for salad dressing.
But some cartels do mix with other oils. Depends where produced.
A small bottle of good avocado oil was about sgd30+ for about 100 - 150ml for salad dressing.

I don't see any mention of country sourced from on iherb site

Yours is virgin avocado oil?Bought from Marks & Spencer and settle with the one they carried back then, for salad. Heating temperature not to exceed 190 degrees Celsius. Priced reasonable. Then I will find online if unavailable in store.
Low heat cooked eggs sunny side, whites underside will come out a bit greenish though.
You have to find your own brand that is suitable after your taste test.
Some don't put source, some do. The level of info varies. I guess depends on pricing.

The smoke point of an oil is a poor predictor of its suitability for cooking, the key parameter to evaluate is its oxidative stability, often measured by the Oxidative Stability Index (OSI), which reflects its resistance to lipid peroxidation and the formationYours is virgin avocado oil?
I'm looking for extra virgin... supposed to have higher smoke point. So can cook / fry

store in a cabinet of darkness. you need to buy expensive ones with dark green glass bottles.
I’m using this. Trying to stock up two extra bottles at home when there’s an offer. But cutting down the usage of oil by having more steamed dishes instead.Yours is virgin avocado oil?

Yes, the lights do damage oil quality, as the bottles are often placed on shelves and exposed for very long hours. I won’t buy oil from supermarkets because they take a huge cut and mainly stock mass-market, lower-quality oils. Good oils are limited in supply and are often sold out or out of stock.supermarket like to put expensive oil under they bright light, not sure got cause damage boh. ntuc only bother to take care of the wine
