a noob question, for the 7000's how do you toggle between 2.4hz and 5hz? is there a switch on the modem like, ok i want 5hz faster speed so i press a switch then i want to surf net in my bedroom, need long range of wifi coverage so that my bedroom can receive wifi signal.

Thanks

I'm thinking to change my pace to 7002. Wifi signal strength is my main priority. I'dont to use homeplug as it reduce the speed almost 50%. I hope 7002 can solved my needs.

There are two different SSID's for the two different frequencies, so you do not need to 'toggle' between them

Any ideas why two iphone 4 (one is iOS7.0.4 and the other is iSO4.1) can detect the WiFi network of the Aztech 7002 and after input the Password...login for a while than disappear ? When check the wifi status , it show the Aztech 7002 SSID but it just fail to connect.

Anyone having this problem ?

Probably the signal is weak at that location. This is normal when the signal is weak. Same thing with my Motorola Xoom when I tried to connect to the 5Ghz band at 12.5 metres away but no problem with the 2.4Ghz band. Move nearer to the router to isolate whether this is the problem.

Do note the iPhone 4 is 2.4Ghz only.

How come yours is so fast, mine only reaches 93mbps on the 2.4ghz channel, never tested the 5ghz channel speed yet.....? Same 200mbps plan?? What setting did you use and 203 mbps is damn fast, even the ac routers nowadays cannot reach that speed? Please tell me what did you do???

Didn't do anything special. All standard settings.

The DSL7000GRV(S) is 2.4 Ghz single band only. The DSL7002GRV(S) is dual band.

There is no switch on the router to press for selecting the band. Both band are by default enabled and transmitting at the same time (simultaneously). It is not either or.

On your PC or device, you select which band you want to connect to by selecting the SSID. Therefore your PC or device WiFi adaptor have to be dual-band capable to detect both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz SSIDs that your router is transmitting.

The "switch" is therefore your selecting of the SSID to connect.

It is BPL time now. That Mac mini is connected to the TV. I will try to test with a notebook.

Not advisable. WRT54G is 2.4Ghz wireless G. If use it as repeater, the DSL7002GRV(S) will drop to operate at wireless G for every thing. Couple with the 50% to 60% drop in speed due to repeating mode (already at G speed so half that), then WiFi will slow to a crawl.

Not sure whether the 5Ghz band will be affected.

last time I used DSl1015EW, you can block start time and end time for each IP address. i.e. within this period, the IP even connected can't connect to internet.

I restricted my kids from midnight to 8:00am so that they can sleep earlier.

I sent email asked AZTECH. They replied and asked me to ask Singtel . :(

They will resent you doing this. They may be too young to show but trust me the resentment is brewing inside of them. And when they are older...

I have been down that road.

Ooh, quite simple, disable wireless on 7002, connect dlink via ethernet port on 7002 to broadband ethernet port on D-Link and enable wireless, though the wireless on 7002 is stronger btw....

Assume you are referring to within your LAN, I am using ES file explorer. Click LAN and scan. It auto detect 192.168.1.254.

Yes upload speed is higher than download. Don't know why. But download at 14bmps is on the low side for fibre.
