B350 or B450 chipset

My motherboard is spoiled, so I am looking for a replacement.

Current setup is:
AMD 2200G with GPU @1500
MSI B350i pro ac <-- dead
2x4GB Kingston HyperX @ 3200MHz

Tried plugging into another psu and confirmed mobo is gone.

Trying to decide between the below b350 or b450 mobos:

i understand b450 has PBO and StoreMI. But not sure how useful these features are.

How are you willing to spend? I would suggest avoid motherboard from China.
The BIOS is not as fuss free unlike more reputable brand like Asrock etc.
If you don't want to spend too much just find a A320 motherboard or something
and change to MATX case.
Budget ITX build is difficult unless you find on Carousell but ITX boards usually
aren't cheap.

IMO the 2200G is the better CPU, even though much older than N5095

I found a second hand ASRock Fatal1ty b450 itx for cheap. Will try and see.

Regarding the China boards. They are being sold on AliExpress, and seem to have on average good reviews.

Yes like you say average review.
The BIOS is buggy example if you set XMP, it won't save and it will default back to it original JEDEC spec.

Should have done this. But too late I had already purchased a second hand board.

Some rebuild photos. Had to get rid of a lot of dust. Quite satisfying to clean up the 6 year old hardened CPU thermal paste.










It booted up to the original Windows without a problem. Somehow it is not Activated. Also second display through HDMI doesn't work despite VGA driver installation.

Seems like I need to reinstall Windows.

coz u change ur MB... windows dont follow...
u need to deactivate windows license on ur old mb then activate on ur new mb..
try to plug in to just 1 of each hdmi to test first...
check mb drivers

Only the Display Port works. Not sure if there is a compatibility issue as 2200G is an older CPU.

Cannot deactivate Windows as old mobo is dead. Need to reinstall now and see how.

u have to email ms can call also... then deactivate then activate on new mb.
just buy a new key
