This is the mobo im using.

Currently have Corsair Vengeance 8gb ddr3 (2x4gb)..

1) If i were to buy a 16gb ddr3 2400mhz, will it work?

2) Does it really have a big difference between 1600mhz and 2400mhz?

it will work. but it will be capped at 1600mhz because your mobo is not a overclocking mobo. as for performance improvements, u are unlikely to see major differences tbh.

That depends on your usage already. If its ram intensive, then it will help. If not, you wun see the diff.

generally, a min of 8gb is recommended for usage these days. however, i do see my pc running faster when i just upgraded to 16gb.

Hmm ok. Only once did i notice the ram was 100% and my pc lag like siao.. other than that seems fine.. not sure what causes it that time though...

I see the prices for 2x8gb 1600mhz... 1piece of 8gb is >$100

Hestitating to upgrade.. pc is about 3years old.. heavy usage...

ram prices are skyrocketing because of the increased demand for smartphones. do consider buying online to get cheaper ram.

and try not to mix rams. it might create problems.

old but worth a read. after figuring out what u want, it's just looking at each model's offering (wifi, m.2 support, usb gen etc)
