Need some opinion if i need to redelid my 6600k. Idle temp is @ 45-50 deg, Load temp temp @ 65-70 deg. OC to 4.8 ghz with adaptive vcore of 1.38v max. Under custom watercool with hwl sr2 480mm rads.

Guess so but whats bothering me is the idle temp 45-50 deg while the water temp is just roughly 30-34 deg. Not sure if its normal

Your water temperature taken from waterblock?

Its taken right b4 the coolant enter the radiator for cooling. Res - Pump - Cpu - Vrm - Gpu - Rads. So roughly the water temp b4 entering the rads is roughly 30-35 deg

My delidded 6700k I'm getting as follows with my H100i V2 running Intel Burn Test:

No Aircon :

Idle : 35 degrees
Load : 73-76 degrees

Aircon :

Idle : 28-30 degrees
Load : 68-70 degrees

Overclocked to 4.8ghz @ 1.44V. General usage like gaming will be lower since Intel Burn Test really heats up the CPU like mad.

If you want to re-delid, PM me. I give you my guys contact. He's very good. He got a page on Carousell that's where I found him. I'll pass you his mobile.

Been using this delidded CPU for the last 1 year and it's been absolutely amazing.

u prolly mean 4.8ghz oc?
check tat ur "idle" cpu usage is closer to 0-5% cpu
ur prolly closer to 50% cpu usage or higher, at ur current "idle"

Sorry i meant 4.8, idle cpu usage is roughly @ 5-12% usage. So its kinda of weird that its at 45-50 deg. I can only assume bad mounting of the ihs..

5-12% cpu is using task mgr? if yes, it cud mean 20-50% single core load & maybe keep vcore & freq up and raise temps. can u dbl check using hwinfo64?
if ihs bad mounting, i presume it wud affect load temps more badly but urs look ok...

Is 50 deg normal for idle temp under water cooling?

You are reading the wrong values.

You are suppose to see the Package till Core 0 to 6.

This is your actual read out. Package temps is always higher as it is usually an offset temperature.

The one you should be concern about mostly are your cores.

FYI, im running 1*360mm rad and 2*240mm rad for just a cpu oc and single 1080ti.

Not even close to 50% utilize
yeah ur individual cores are cool 26-28c
mystery is package temp 56c in hwmonitor
again, suggest u run hwinfo64 for clues (but pls exit other monitoring apps)...

Like what Royfrosty mentioned, look at your coretemps not your package temps. My package temps are always a few degrees higher.

If you are using watercooling, check your coolant temperature if you are able to monitor that.
