last night, my pc ( windows 7 sp1 ) kept crashing instantly after the blue screen logging in, always giving the bad pool header BSOD errors. after uninstalling Avast Antivirus from safe mode, the problem seems to be solved, my pc is again working normally. I have not updated the Avast software for years but updated the virus database weeks ago.
I am happy with Avast all this time. but since it apparently caused the BSOD errors. I don't feel like reinstalling it again. any lite free anti virus software to recommend ? real simple one will do.
Thanks.
