I engaged one renovation ID from One plus 2 design and build pte Ltd. The director claimed he had 20 years of experience in renovation and also a council member of SIDS (Singapore Interior Designers Society) supported by name card n search on google. Hacking work for my 3 room flat started on 25 March 2021. That's the start of my renovation nightmare..... Hacking was to be completed within 3 days, got extended for another 3 days then nothing was done. Delays in submission by PE endorsement and mistakes resulted In the removal of a stiffener to be delayed all the way till May. Meanwhile 3D pictures that was supposed to be ready was still in progress since I signed the contract in Feb 2021. Once the stiffener was removed, a false wall was erected and tiling started. However the whole house grouting in between tiles were not done. Work stopped with wall half built. Nothing else was done, electrical wires were left dangling dangerously in the house all these while. While house Renovation work was supposed to be completed in 2 to 3 months meaning end June. Excuses given were shortage of manpower etc. I uncovered many lies excuses by my ID along the way like tiles which were supposedly ordered long ago were in fact not ordered at all and 3D drawings jammed up due to overwhelming work. Several meet ups/discussion and promises to complete the work within work schedules by end June,written undertakings by ID were all just for show. He was even bold to state should he not complete all tiling works by June, I have the right to terminate the contract and excess amount returned to me. End June work still not completed so I decided to terminate the contract n gave the ID one month till end of July to get all work half completed to be finished and faults rectified and to pay me back the balance which was paid in excess as well. The ID being unable to fulfil the contract still has the cheek and so thick skinned to ask for compensation. Work done only amounted to abt 31k and we agreed on a sum of 15k to be returned back to me. A total of 48k was paid since Feb. Come end July, tiling works still not rectified even with all the chasing in the month of July. Delays after delays, excuses after excuses. My house was left in a very terrible state( see pictures). To date,not even a single cent has been paid. Post dated cheque of 6k in Aug bounced. Reported to case n letter issued by case also useless. A lawyers demand letter for payment by sep was futile. Information gathered from the tiler whom finally came to rectify the faults in first week Aug revealed that payment was delayed by ID thus tiler decided to abandoned the work. So my question is where did the money I paid the ID go to? Till today almost 4 months since June, no attempt of payment Is made at all....I am not sure how many more victims have fallen under him. So please very careful if u do come across this company. He has another company doing corporate reno. I will be more than willing to share more details pictures.

You should proceed to bring a claim before the Small Claims Tribunal.

Silly.. Silly mm who ask you to paid the full sum even before work completion.. You should divide into stages and pay only after the stages work is done. Never paid the full sum.. You too rich is it?
