I had been to Forestville EC. Basically, the resident can build whatever they want in their balcony. I understand from one resident the reason they can do so is because the developer put it in a clause that the residents can do anything in their balcony. The good thing is the resident can build whatever they want within the balcony. Some even partition part of the balcony to become a room. The downside, the outlook of the whole balcony is rather messy and disorganized....I wonder will it affect the resale value...Anyway that resident told me the Chinese developer is rather terrible....His roof starts to leak within 3 months of staying...Residents at level 12 has ceiling height of only 2.6m same as HDB due to design issue....The residents are not successful in asking for compensation as the Chinese Developer hires a top lawyer to fight the case...
Since this is the topic on balcony in EC and condo, I would like to ask whether there is any rules against putting the Chinese Praying alter at the balcony?

Can you share which condo and Managing Agent of this condo? I wonder is it the still needing the developer's permission needed or the MA 's duty to ask for permission to build the Aluminium Louvers?Hmm...seems like a lot development allows Aluminium louver now for the balcony.

Install Outdoor Blinds definitely is approved.

I think it depends on the deity being worshiped. I’ve seen 关公 alters mounted on the balcony wall.A monk ever told me that the best place to put an alter is the center of the living room and against a solid wall.
Is balcony a good place to put the alter?
