Hi, i would like to share my great experience in Bali with our driver (Krishna).

Krishna was very informative, polite and punctual AND REALLY VALUE FOR MONEY. It was a very insightful tour with awesome scenery.

He was a very thoughtful guy as i was sick and he turned off the air-con and winded down the windows, and even gave me sweets for my throat.

He's a very funny guy and gave us the wonderful trip.

He was also a very honest driver as we gave him alot of money for the journey, but he said that it was too much and returned some amount back to us.

Krishna has been getting negative reviews from the other thread. Looks like he has been keeping up-to-date with the amazingly fast CSI team in hardwarezone. Internet marketing is not as simple as you think bro.

Creating this thread just devalued yourself again & still have the cheek to pretend its not yourself.

Shows a character of a person. Would you trust someone who play games with ppl - to drive u around a foreign land?

hey people. i hopei have sufficient credentials here to yield some trust and faith in my words.

i got krishna for my bali tour with my gf during this april period from recommendation in the bali thread and trust me, he definitely know his stuff and his rate is one of the cheapest and he brings u to exotic places that you will never read about in the travel book.

he have got a good command of english and always making sure that the long hours of travel are never in silent but always with humor and fun interaction. he briefs u of the history of every historical site as well. (trust me, most guide are just for money and chaffuer you around, they can't even relate the history to you in understandable english)

i would certainly like to emphasis that he's extremely polite and always keeping out watch of safety for us. my girlfriend had a serious gastric problem during our halfway drive (2 hours+ ride up) and if not for him, i think we will end up really helpless and i could not imagine what would have happened to my gf.

he accompanied me throughout the 2 hours observation in hospital and ensure that he see us back to our hotel safely. he also returned back with food to our hotel. that was already 11pm+. i'm really grateful for his gesture till date and definitely will engage him and recommend him to anyone i know of.

I feel that we shouldn't because of the bad comments, put him down. This is a huge forum, of course there are plentiful of drivers around in Bali. I have hired Krishna for my 4D3N trip in Bali. So the below are my small cents of thoughts,

We agreed to use his 2D services, and at a compromised rates that he offers. He ensures that the rates were comfortable for us, and adjustable. More importantly, end of the day we must have fun, and not let the budget be a constraint. (further to this, dont let budget be a constraint does not mean he has chopped us. In fact we feel that his services worth definitely more then what we paid him)

Before the trip, I merely spoke to him that I will be arriving on which flight, and that we have arranged for hotel pick up..etc It was a mere conversation to say hello pre-arrival. To my surprise, he offered to pick us up at the airport in the evening. What it seems to be a gimmick, its actually for Krishna to welcome us to Bali and to build up the repo for the time to come in our journey. This is a plus point already, cuz 2 x airport pick up costs us USD$15 each per way from the hotel as we did not manage to get complimentary pick ups.

Our flight was delayed anyway, and by then after all the jams we arrived at our hotel 10pm+.

What surprise me really, was his smile of services. He is very humble, I feel. He does not complain, he does one way or another give us tips on how to protect ourselves, like the Monkey Forest where he will warn u that the monkeys will be snatching your stuffs.

On the way, whenever we decided to have random stops, he did not grumble. stopped for shopping, buy kites, take photos, buy drinks..etc all these causes delays, actually I know it myself, but I realise he took efforts to try to get us to our destinations and not miss any showtimes despite of the delays..etc

Every drivers can bring you around and explain the details..etc but not every drivers can care for their customers truly from their hearts. If you have hired Krishna, u will know it.

We even got him to join in the last night when we went for clubbing. He said he always have invitations from his customers to join them in their events. I guess end of the day, we have really been friends instead of driver-client repo.

I don't usually bother writing any reviews on forums as such but my recent experience with him has prompted me to do so.
We hired Krishna after reading the rave reviews on HWZ.
We were already in Bali and looking for someone to take us around on very short notice. I emailed him, and he replied within minutes. Lucky for us, he was available that very day, and for the subsequent 2 days.

He quoted me USD35 / 335 500 rupiah for 3-10pm. (That's USD5/hr) I asked if it could be cheaper, he quoted me USD 28 / 275 000 rupiah for 3-9pm (USD4.6/hr). We agreed on the latter for day 1. For day 2, he charged as USD35 for 12-10pm. (This is the actual rates advertised on his site anyway)

On the first 2 days, he was fantastic! He was very punctual and he brought us to many places - water blow, padang padang beach, ubud etc. (sorry, i cant recall all the names of the places) He was very smiley and helpful (he opened the door for me every time we alighted the car). He took the initiative to take pictures for us at all the scenic locations. He even bothered to take a few shots so we could choose the ones we preferred. It almost felt like we had our own personal photographer tagging along. He wasn't exactly very informative, but we appreciated the his effort to tell us what he knew about the place. He recommended a few places for us to have our meals, and we were happy to go wherever he suggested knowing that he would also benefit by getting some form of commission from the restaurants. We had a pretty good impression of him and were thinking about recommending him to our friends who would be visiting Bali. We even tipped him at the end of each day to show our appreciation.

However, everything changed on the last day that we hired him. He arrived 30 mins late (citing traffic) He was the one who suggested that we start the day earlier, and we agreed on meeting an hour earlier than the day before. (day 2 - noon, day 3 - supposedly 11am). He's attitude was seemingly different, he didn't bother talking to us much as opposed to the other 2 days. He tried to recommend a place for spa, but we declined as the price was significantly more expensive than the one I found online (murano spa) When we asked if he could drive us to murano, he was visibly unhappy. He did drive us there anyway but he wasn't willing to wait for us to finish the 1 hr massage and suggested we take a cab back ourselves. But the fact we were suppose to hire him till 9pm (w/o taking into consideration the fact that he was 30 mins late!) and the estimated time to complete the massage was 845. Not forgetting that our hotel was less than 15 mins away. He was in a big hurry to get rid of us! That night he even told my bf that the exchange rate of USD increased, hinting to us that we had to pay him more. I mean, we were always paying him more anyway, so what's with the sudden rudeness?

So yes, we weren't all that impress with him afterall. My advice is, hire him for a day or two, after that he's patience fizzes out.

on the last day trip :

on the last day when you want to take the spa @ Murano...and before the spa i drive you to the local food " the Naughty Nury Pork Ribs ",
i was waiting there as your bf command to me

i recommend this restaurant "Naughty Nury"for your dinner>>>you may ask and check with their management , do the give some commission to a guide or driver who bring some customer /business for them??

you and your bf command me to leave/drop at the spa@Murano after dinner ...you say it is okay because the spa located close to your hotel

i was willing to wait you but you say that you want to walk from the spa to your hotel , because the location is nearby to your hotel in your map.... but i say better that you take a cab than walking or the spa company it self has a free shuttle

.....but you didnt trust me as usual , you have your own information that you get from the internet....in your map"Printed that the spa pointed in the middle of seminyak " but actually it was wrong

when you made a wrong decision , because of a wrong information that you get from the internet , please dont blame me as your driver, it is just like that i make a mistake to you...as a driver , i always be honest with my customer no matter how ...

i did always gave you suggestion and advise , but in the end it is all your own decision, i am not allowed to push you to follow my suggestion...and i dont want to make my customer under pressure of my suggestion...it is just only an optional better way

i know that the murano spa company advertisement say that their location is close to everywhere ...in reality it doesnt look close...and i remember that you were surprised when you realize

...and when i drop you at the Murano you pay my last payment and your bf say it is okay to leave you there...

i didnt hear that you tell me to wait, you never ask me to wait

i didnt know that you want me to wait you because from beginning you and your bf allowed me to leave you there......if i know you need my service i will wait, it was only one hour left

usually i wait my others customer a whole night, they do clubbing, i dont mind to wait in my car for hours and hours, even already overtime, i will be happy as long my customer happy

and after spa you say that you dont have any program, want to go back to hotel after and you dont need my service no more at that night


and now you make a complain in the forum with a brand new account...why didnt you make a complain in the front of me? but you tipping me and smile just like there was nothing happen and happy

you know how i am basically i am very flexible , and communicative , but why do you choose this way?

and yes...there was a raising rate on that day for the rupiah convert to dollar

and the last day you were in bali.... i help you to collect the kue lapis and brought to your hotel before you leave bali...it is free...i spent over than 2 hours wait your kue lapis cooked and packed ...and i never complain..i was happy to help you

please with all due respect, i dont want to make any trouble in this forum, and i can guarantee that i did my best to help all my customer and give the best price ...i hope that you can responsible your review about what happened that night soon as possible...and i am looking forward your response
