Hi,

I wanted to go to railway + Floating market but i heard the railway is closed for maintenance? Am i right?

Should i book a tour or just go by public transport? or should i just go and see any tours offered at any hotels there?

What are the rough prices?

i have booked with online travel agencies before. they quoted us 700b per person, go railway + floating market. went with them 3x.
the guy use his 9seater van drove us from our hotel.
sometimes there would be other ppl going also ...
think the travel agencies, most guest r msian or singaporeans.
coz went 2x , the van was with singaporeans and msian families or/and couples :)

yup, book from hotel is more expensive. you travel urself by cab worst lol ... coz they will charge u very high. have read trip advisor review, some ang moh paying 80+ to 100+ sgd per person just to go there. coz cab charge them high, then go there, they have to pay boat ride again lol ...

journey is 1.5hr one way to railway market lol.
so is kinda far. if u take cab, sure very expensive lol ...

railway market is closed for 6 months for renovation. I have a bkk tour guide contact if you want. I cannot rmb the price that she quoted me but it was reasonable and she was very nice and helped me to get sim card and everything (cos we were in a rush and I didnt have time to buy one). PM me if you would like to have her contact :)

after i paid in groupon, i just need to lias with eddy will do? this tour is everyday or still subject to mini person?

purchased from another online website twice ....
after purchased, will email him my travel dates.
for the two times, we were sharing his van with another 2 groups of ppl.
so total is abt 8 to 9 ppl on the van ...
mostly is singaporeans and malaysians ...

he will fetch u from hotel lobby think abt 7 or 730am local time ...
the trip would end abt 12+ pm ...
then you can tell him drop you at shopping malls, such as centralworld or siam paragon ...

the third time, we ad hoc email him ...
then he accepted our request ...
that time we only have 4 ppl on his 9 seater van, which is good ...

If you are refering to the Mae Klong railway, then yes, it is closed for 6 months. Or rather, the market is open but no train will run through the market till year end.

I was planning to visit but was advised by folks on Tripadvisor of the closure.

Bangkok attractions

To be precise, visitors to Thailand's famous (and infamous) capital have no shortage of sightseeing options. With enough ancient temples, notorious districts and reputable restaurants to fatigue even the most devout checklist traveller, other Bangkok attractions often get short shrift. So when you've ticked off the Royal Palace, the reclining Buddha, and the raunchy stuff, check these places out for something a little different.
