I have some songs on my iPad that I would like put into my new mac. The new mac has most of the music that I want to save and keep.

How can I sync so that all the songs from iPad AND mac are saved on my mace?

Then assuming I have double songs... how to get rid of those?

Thanks for any help on this!!

you cannot sync content FROM the ipad to the Mac. any music content that you want to have on your ipad, you must have on the Mac first.

There are some free apps that allow you to do this, it won't sync, but they can extract the songs out...

Just google for them.. many options. I did this before, about 4 years ago when I had an old iPod..

Cheers

Thanks all of you for the concise feed back!

I had heard of apps like this..but didn't know they would apply in this case. I thought I was just missing something obvious.
