There's no park in Batam but if you're a buddhist, there's a big temple (Maitreya) in Batam centre. As for entertainment for kids, some big shopping (the one in Nagoya hill) has those playground which I think small kids will like.

Never been to this place but everytime will pass by when going to Batam centre and it is always quiet. Although it is open since 2009, very few people mention about this place. Maybe someone can write a review if they've been there. There's another place "Balerang Bridge" which has a nice scenery and worth to go there as well.

Then you should go for beach resort. At least kids will be happy when playing with sands etc.

u going to which resort? Most resort accepts both currency and as for town area, Rupiah is better choice. If you paid by SGD, they will return you in Rupiah with lousy exchange rates.

If you are at Batam Center, you can go to the Timezone @ Maga Mall. But that is if you allow them to play games etc... If you stay in Harris, they have a kids club that can occupy children for a few hours too...

BCS basically is like our Queensway shopping center. Nothing much to shop. Maybe you can watch a movie or 2 there as it is very cheap.
