Left it overnight to charge, stopped at 92%.

This morning used and dropped until 15%. Plugged in to recharge 3 hours still stuck at 38%.

Means battery is spoilt and time to change phone?
Used for 1 year 3 months.

Did you check the charger and the cable? Sometimes mostly its the cable loose, cos people pull pull then it's loose.

Use for 30 minutes web browsing can drop 30%. (average) So dropping about 1% per minute. Use for 90 minutes (screen on) can drop from 100% to 0%. Confirm can't last half a day.

Need to charge twice a day.

Might be battery issues. Another option is to try factory reset, hopefully it will help. But before that, you need to backup first.

Wad phone are you using? If the battery is not removable, try a factory 1st to eliminate any software issue caused by rogue apps. If this doesn't solve the problem, most likely is battery dying.

The higher the screen brightness, the amount of data transmitted and signal strength does affect the depletion of %. The obvious signs are that it will charge very fast or even at 90 plus % it will suddenly jump to 100% and it will auto shut down before reaching 0%. These signs does indicate that the battery is reaching the end of its life. Although it still can be used but it must be charge very frequently.

Once had a spare phone to play around till the batt really died. Last was when it reach around 40%, it will auto shut down. :s13:

It can be the following reasons

1. Battery old age.
2. Too many apps running in the background.
3. Faulty cable or charger.

What you do is, off the phone for 10mins to cool down, then charge your phone to 100%, when reach 100%, remain charge for at least 5 to 10mins to ensure that the 100% is truely 100%.

2. Disable all unneeded apps to maintain fast drop of battery life. If u dont want one by one disable, download apps cleanmaster related from apps store. After install every now and then run and maintain.

3. Set the screen on to 1 to 2 mins off and lower your brightness of your phone.

4. Buy a good cable if unable to charge fast. Charge fast work in airplane mode or phone completely off.

Hope this help to prolong use of your phone.

Possible charger issue..

Worst case is to do factory reset to see if it resolved issue due to firmware corrupted.

Usually to charge until the lightning icon in the battery icon disappear completely which indicated as fully charged.
Then do either power off or restart the phone.

Never let the battery level to down below 20%, as best to charge when battery level is around 30 - 45 % left.
