Battery not detected error

Hi, am having a 'Battery not detected' error on my Asus K450J laptop.

It suddenly went off a few days ago and I can't power it on without the power cord. Have someone looked at it virtually and it's down to hardware problems, not driver issue.

(1) For this model, is it possible to bring it down to SLS for them to open up and change the battery? Is the battery changeable? It's not a new model anymore.

(2) And if so, any recommended shops?

I suggest go back Asus get pricing.
At the most around $1xx + Labor charge of $80.
Take note the battery is internal, opening up is not easy.
Any mistakes when opening it up will snap the cable inside.
I tried before so I know.

Having the same model and issues as yours. So in the end what did you do to solve the problem? Went back to Asus?

Go to device manager , under batteries, uninstall the battery driver ( Windows ACPI). See if it works

Sounds like a bad battery.
Batteries are consumables that have to be replaced.
