Battery warranty

Hi guys, I'm using acer laptop and is coming to 2 years old and is still under warranty. Lately the battery life seems to have shorten by quite a fair bit. Initially the laptop indicate that it can last 6 hours. But now, not at all.

Has any managed to claim warranty under such circumstances?

I using dell, also 2 years warranty. I called them last month and was told that the battery only warrant 6 months not 2 years...

Go online and check your Acer warranty, terms and conditions. All the answers are there.
No point asking for comment. Some will say this and that, end of the day, u still need to check with Acer. Give a call to their help desk if u are lazy to read the warranty details.

BTW battery is normally 1 yr or less warranty. If u still want to continue to use your laptop and dun want to pay Acer for new battery, u can purchase battery online and change yourself, which I did. My Envy 13 is on my 4th yr of using with a new battery purchased from Sim Lim.

You can either read up the warranty terms, or just simply contact them to check. Unfortunately, most laptop battery warranty are not as long as the hardware. Lenovo only covers up to a year for the battery even if you extended the warranty to 3 years. So nowadays, I leave warranty at 2 years instead. No point dragging 3 years since if battery fails, the laptop will become a portable desktop instead.
