Beard during Mob Manning

I've heard that bearing checks involving hair length are not very strict when activated for Mob Manning. However I'd like to ask if anyone has any experience regarding a full beard. Do they make you shave it off on the spot? Finished my second ict last year and am probably going to be activated next year, so thinking whether or not to grow it out.

if i were you i would grow it out first, and shave only IF activated lol

i got scolded twice for having some facial hair and moustache during my ict. so strictly speaking they would definitely prefer clean shaven, which i understand because after all, you are a soldier and you dont want anything affecting your readiness.

but if you really wish to keep your beard, or you need to due to work or other reasons, if they ask, you can try to explain yourself. or maybe bring a shaver just in case. in many cases they dont pursue it very much though, as they understand you are called suddenly anyways.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I hope to be able to share mine in the near future as the commanders hinted that there's a manning coming up. I'm resigned to shaving during ICT, just have the irrational hope that it'll be overlooked during MOB.

If you are a muslim, get a letter from muis. Then show the letter and stand your ground about not wanting to shave.

What happens next, we normally dont share publicly
