Hi guys

I sort of have the same problem as another recent user here.

Yesterday morning when I tried to turn on my desktop, there was a beep but after waiting for awhile there was no display on my screen.

I tried restarting it using the reboot button a few times but the problem still persists.

How should I go about to troubleshoot what is wrong?

1. Use my 2nd laptop to try and output to monitor to see if monitor works?

2. Plug in another display and see if gpu works?

What will be the next step?

Currently in camp so cannot troubleshoot):

Then will only 2 days to troubleshoot before booking back in o:

On a side note, should my graphic card have up lorry, what would be a good replacement card that would allow me to play dota 2 and guild wars 2 on max with 60fps?

Thanks in advance :D

1) Try another display.

2) Pull out GPU, use iGPU.

3) Use GPU with the second PCI-E slot, see got picture come out or not.

Get a Powercolor R7 260X ($179) or a Zotac GTX 660 ($189, lazada.com.sg) as a replacement GPU.

I'll give your suggestions try when I get home.

Also would a 750 ti be better than a 660?

Thanks :)

Edit: for point 3, if I get an output that means everything is fine already?

1) GTX 660 more powerful.

2) If got picture come out, means the mobo first PCI-E X16 slot spoil already.

Happy New Year!

Happened to me before - the contacts were loose, if only slightly.

if the problem happens again, and if you have a spare PCIe slot, use it and it should last you for a long time after that.
