Lucky you havent buy the GTX770.

Do not buy any kepler based card already. At this time kepler is overpriced as compared to the new maxwell based cards.

GTX970 would be the best bang for bucks and perform better than GTX770 by 3 tiers up.

Go for GTX970 instead if you have the budget of $500. Look at lazada.sg choose the brands you want.

Zotac, Palit, MSI, Asus

This are the brands you can look at. You dont need to buy a new PSU for maxwell cards as they are not so power hungry. Requires a good 500w psu to run.

Take note, whatever the website states, usually it is overpowered. They are afraid that people may buy a lousy kind of PSU to power up the rig.

No point getting gtx770 now

It will be nice if u can get a new power supply as well if not then consider zotac gtx750ti which does not require 6pin connector to power it

Say u wan to change ur power supply as well

Fsp aurum s 500w ~ $89
Zotac gtx970 ~ $459 (Lazada 10% MasterCard discount on monday)

thx both of you for replying :) I looked up lazada.sg search up gtx 970
lots of brand to choose from asus, msi, zotac, palit. which one to choose? I don't mind topping up 50dollars more but if the quality not good I obviously don't buy it but see how first :)

Cheapest would be zotac... It performs well. The difference between the rest are base clock speeds and type of cooler used.

If u want cheap, den get the zotac basic model, around $509.

If u want a good cooling, then msi 970 gaming 5.

If u want "branded", then ASUS.

Steps for changing gpu
1) Check for the casing's gpu lenght's allowance.
2) Check if your PSU has enough juice for the gpu
3) Check if your PSU has enough PCIe 6pin or 8pin connector/s for the gpu.

Always check the detail from the manufacture's website before making a purchase.

Yup those cables from psu to gfx card. Well the connectors are keyed in such a way that you won't be able to plug them if it's wrong.

As of today, the only cards worth buy is,

GTX750 Ti (Avoid all other 7xx Series)
GTX970
GTX980

Considering the long-term costs, the price and performance you pay is worth.

The PC will be running fast and cool with very low power consumption.

Adaptor should be available inside the box, check before buying.

Nah, it will only truly be overkill if you had brought a 1500W PSU with your system, a little bit of overprovisioning with the PSU wattage will not hurt. 600W should be good enough for a high-end single GPU system, 50W is not really a lot when taking the power consumption of a GPU into consideration.

750ti nt worth when r9 280 is better than it by a few dollars more.

Worth it especially if u using old psu + compact case.

I believe u can get a 750ti @ around $200

280 roughly $260-280

Guys I changed my mind I wednesday planning to go sim lim square tradepac to buy gtx 970 plus rm 650w psu corsair.but before I go I need advice and tip from experienced old birds l. I new bird:( 1)how do I check if the box already opened and changed. I suspect they take away cables, adapter and parts even gpu graphics card they take out and replace with eariler model. 2) if no have stock or they bargain super high price I go pc theme but pc theme not bargainable right? They say final price is final price no negotiate. 3) if no choice I just buy it from the web and be done with it typing from my phone I already prepared taking out my older psu

Unlikely any retailer will swap the card with an older card la.. as for parts, the manual will tell you what parts and accessories are included in the bundle. Check that when you purchase

No need to bargain just buy from Lazada, got 10% off with mastercard. Deliver to your home also
