can check if anyone knows what's the difference between the Beijing daxing airport hsr classes? is it just the seat type or does business class have more benefits?

also if I want to take the first hsr from Beijing to daxing airport, do I need to buy in advance? will thr ticket office be open very early in the morning?

There is no need to buy a ticket in advance as the airport express line is under-used. Business class costs 50% more and you do not need it. Ticketing machines are available, so are station staff when the station is open.

I don't consider the airport express to be HSR as it is a subway and does not use HSR train sets. To get anywhere important you need to transfer.
The true HSR is the one that serves Beijing West and Daxing. Standard HSR seating where it is 3+2 for second class and 2+2 for first and business classes. You can check its ticketing situation on the app in advance.

There is a probability that TS don't know the difference. There is NO HSR from Beijing to Daxing. Only from Beijing West to Daxing.

From all the threads that TS has started on Beijing, there is also a probability that TS doesn't know how huge Beijing is and how many train stations there are in Beijing.

if your flight is at 9.25 am at daxing, and you're staying at qianmen, can you reach 1 hour before your flight departs if you take the first train and use train all the way to get to caoqiao then use the airport express? or better to stay in the airport overnight?

No issue with the metro for sure, since Qianmen station will have trains from 5:30am. It is a matter of your choice how you want to get to Caoqiao, but I think you better take a taxi there as otherwise you will need to change metro lines. Even with bad traffic, it is only 10km, so get into the ride before 7. The airport express starts from 6 and takes maybe 25min so there is absolutely no need to sleep overnight at the airport.

I've never flew via Daxing. But for any of the airports in China, getting there just one hour prior is really cutting it short. Very high chance of not making it.

If you are really lucky, you will need 10 mins to check-in. 10 mins to clear immigration and another 10 mins to clear security. If your luck is so so, it will take you 20 mins to check in, 20 mins to clear immigration and another 20 mins to clear security.

Immigration clearance and security checks can take a while. Airports in China ain't half as efficient as Changi.

And don't underestimate the bad traffic in Beijing at waking hours.

I recall business class is 1-1. Is it 2-2? Anyway for comfort, just whack business class.

1 - 1 but if not wrong, on last row there is a 2-1. 2-2 should be 1st class.
