Beitou or Wulai

Planning to go taiwan in april but unsure which is better to go beitou or wulai.

Prefer to stay 1 night over there.

beitou hotspring nicer, food more up market … there are free shuttle bus from beitou station.

wulai more nature, waterfalls & scenic
you get to try local food like mountain vegetables (e.g fiddlehead ferns)， wild boar, river prawns etc

Wulair for it's nature setting.
Beitou, for it's class.
Jiaoxi for the higher SES.
Of course if got money, even YMS is recommended.

Planning for a night stay in those hotel that has hot spring that’s why unsure which to go.

Hotel with hotspring not exactly worthwhile because you are not going to soak up the whole night.
So i will recommend just to do a session will be good enough.
If really good, go another day.

If the hot spring facilities is good, whole day soak for 3hrs is already worth it. If not hot spring hotel, then choose to book a private room for 2hrs.

Still no planning. I got 13 - 20 April in Taiwan.

Depend on which part of tw you going. 8 days can do half of tw, Taipei, Taichung, cingjing, Hualien, jiaoxi (optional), yilan, juifen and shifen.

Of cos lol, you go tw book Japanese onsen sure super ex, but too bad the open hot spring is for nude only.
You 8 days all in Taipei ah? like so wasted

Recommend you 2 places I love most, Taichung for food and shopping, Cingjing for beautiful scenery.

any hotel to recommend in ximending? was looking at inhouse hotel for 2 nights before i head to beitou.

I stay in Via hotel, not bad, room big and comfortable. No breakfast but have free foodie and drink at the lobby. Location near mrt exit and right inside ximending.

Thanks for the recommendation. I end up booking in-house hotel for the first 2 nights before I head to beitou. After that maybe stay regent or something see how it goes.

I stay in Via hotel, not bad, room big and comfortable. No breakfast but have free foodie and drink at the lobby. Location near mrt exit and right inside ximending.
