In THE IMITATION GAME, Benedict Cumberbatch stars as Alan Turing, the genius British mathematician, logician, cryptologist and computer scientist who led the charge to crack the German Enigma Code that helped the Allies win WWII. Turing went on to assist with the development of computers at the University of Manchester after the war, but was prosecuted by the UK government in 1952 for homosexual acts which the country deemed illegal.

just watched this yesterday. learnt something new about the war and this person, Alan Turing. just got me interested in him and my friend told me there is a documentary on him and the place he worked at during the war.

anyone watched it? :)

The film is well made in an 'award-winning movie template' way. I like the revealing story. Turing is not an easy character to play and it's easy to overplay his dorkiness; I think Benedict's performance is kinda just right.

Overall 4/5 from me. It's good, but not surprisingly good.

Nice show ... And didn't know that they win the war due to them cracking the german's code.

Must be hard secret for them to reveal that they actually statistically let their own soldiers die to achieve victory
