Dear all

My iphone 6 is slightly bent which caused the LCD display to have horizontal lines. Otherwise, phone still in working condition. Went to QCD, they refused to take in even though still have warranty.

Any idea weather bent iphone 6 can be repaired or where can i sell or trade in the phone?

Thanks in advance.

Call Apple hotline and explain to them how you are surprised the phone is bent under normal usage and no abuse, in a case. If they allow you to do a warranty change, take it back to AASP to get it changed.

There are not really any shops that can fix bend, you can try bending it back yourself..

Sorry to hijack. I encounter same issue, in addition the phone auto restart on its own. Submitted my phone and paid 600 upfront to aLab. Hopefully things will go well to get replacement. Anyone had any experience with mobileswop?

But when you call, won't they say you'll have to go to the service provider (telco) that issued the phone for them to assessment?

Or are you able to get them to replaced with Apple store instead?

Curious mind here.

Yes you have to go to AASP at the end of the day, but they have the ability to make notes to whether your device is accepted by Apple for warranty. I've seen users from macrumors have their warranty approved for bent phones after sending in photos and assessed by Apple itself. Our AASP are hopeless, they care only for their profit and liability and don't give a crap about customer service or brand loyalty.

How is this done? Via means of e-mail which is to be printed out and shown to AASP to get them to give a new set?

i agree with you on this because all they care is about profit since they are independent companies. TS might need to call apple hotline and from there see how they can escalate the matter for you. Because AASP is like a middle man whom can't do anything without apple approval/consent. So TS good luck in calling. for my case was denied service & was told to pay $550 for replacement unit

You'll get a case number when you call Apple, they will note what was reported and their finding (if any) there. If they require photos, just take and send to their representative and they'll assess and get back to you.

If they approve, it'll be reflected in the system and the AASPs will be able to see it in their system. No it doesn't mean new set. It means Apple will honor their warranty and AASP will repair if repairable, or replace as per usual warranty claim.
