See luck mostly in terms of failure rate. Electronics product is mostly about luck. "Premium" brands like ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte do not mean it will last forever. If unlucky your "Premium" GPU may spoil in a few days.

You may be surprised a "cheap brand" GPU like Palit, Galax, Zotac can outlast those of the premium branded cards.

Temperature performance you might want to watch a few Youtube reviews to compare.
