Imo just get the cheapest from a well known brand. The tech is no longer innovative and copied by many companies. Become similar fo microwave & kettle where any ah dog ah cat company also can make

It is basically oven with a powerful fan to circulate the air... aka convection oven...

Yes. Just that smaller and heat up faster unlike normal toaster / oven need few mins to heatup

Mine is the Philips XXL. Bought in end 2019. External and internal is almost as good as brand new. No built up of grease at the coil or wired basket as I do regular maintenance and deep cleaning

1 hour timer if you intend to bake cakes. You surely dun want to wait for 30 mins to run out then set again..
