Best Credit Card for Tax/IRAS Payment

Does vpost allow to use any credit card for tax income payment?

SCB has the best bill payment system in singapore. None other came close.

i think u need xtrasaver + their debit card. all payments by their nets (which u can use for your bill payments) give 0.5% rebate, if u have at least 6000 sgd in the xtrasaver account. The rebate capped at $50.

So if you are a huge spender u can technically get 50 dollar * 12 = 600 dollars back per year

You should be able to do it as a normal bill payment, but from drop-down menu which account / cc to charge, you should be able to choose your Manhattan card.

Go to bill payment and select the payee then select the account which in this case use the CC account. Pay and that's it. Sweet.

It seems the only way was / is through vPost if someone doesn't have SCB cc. I am waiting for vPost response to clarify this.

I don't think vpost can pay via credit card.
Last time I tried (2 years ago), it'll just generate some number which you need to pay through sam machine.
Only SCB can pay using credit card. (manhattan). Not bad. can earn 0.5% - 5% rebates

I've got a response from vPost on this. It is not possible to pay tax to IRAS by credit card.

of course. there are many instances where 'rebates' or pts from cc can beat the 2% offered by giro

I give u just one example. When u pay the 90 dollar season parking or 90*how many mths u wanna buy for, and u hit the 3k tier for manhattan card and u get 5% rebate.

there are many other scenarios too. thinking of the payment as the only aspect is narrow minded

Manhattan? Nah. Can't even reach 3k for the expenses. Months of parking? I just want to fire and forget. With the GIRO, I pay only 88.xx per month.
