Best HDR 27" Monitors?

Hi all, just bought a new laptop. It's meant to be a desktop replacement, hence I'm looking to get a solid monitor to pair with it.

I'll be using it for graphic design, photo editing and video editing. So colour accuracy is my top priority. I do a little bit of gaming, but rarely.

Budget is anywhere between $500-$1000. It has to have HDR Support, thin bezels and a flat 27" display. Preferably it should be UHD 3840x2160 resolution but I"ll consider QHD 2560×1440 if it delivers better colours. Aspect ratio should be 16:9 or 16:10. I don't like 21:9 ultrawide.

My laptop only have USB C/Thunderbolt 3 port but I have a 4K@60HZ HDMI to USB C Cable lying around, so the monitor can work from its HDMI port, not necessarily USB C.

Any suggestions?

I am currently using this as the second monitor with my iMac.

5k Monitor. 27 Inch. Same resolution as 5k iMac.
Price a bit steep but 5k resolution and specific support for Apple.
I would have got this but then I need to also run PC rig via that monitor so got the Dell one.

If you're submitting any work professionally or printing you probably have to include a colorimeter or get a monitor with good factory calibration. You don't need advice from anyone here, just check RTings.com and get the one with the best scores for your needs.

Eizo or Dell Ultrasharp. But you also need Color calibration tool kits to go with it.

I use dell ultrasharp many yrs. Their ips panel doesn't need calibre actually, already Come factory settings very nice color

The new Gigabyte AQ27D is a really good monitor. Just built one system for my customer and it is brilliant! Freesync and G-Sync certified compatible.
