best HWZ forum app for Android?

Hi,


What would be your recommended Android app for using the HWZ forums? The HWZ official Android app has atrocious reviews and was last updated more than three years ago. Not sure if the situation is any better on the iOS side of things.

PCWX - although occasionally will re-launch itself with dark background and the quoted text is barely readable.

But still better than GAGT whee it will randomly crash while typing long reply. Maybe that's its way of avoiding WOT.

The official app is okay both on iOS and Android -- I ignore the EDMW section though unless there were one or two threads which were of some values.

The major problem is with pm function but I do not use pm often. In general I do not send pm. In many cases when people sent me pm, there is no justification to use pm anyway as they were technical questions.

I tried the other two apps on Android before but in the end just go back to the official app.

Prefer the official app too for Android. But it seriously needs an update as there are quite a few bugs. Worse one is when attaching picture from phone gallery the app will force you to crop it into a square. Weird that this bug appears only on my Galaxy S10 but not on Xiaomi Mi A2 lite. Likely has to do with the app being used one is Samsung gallery the other is Google photos.

Crashes on my Mi Max 3 and Huawei Mate 9 when typing long messages. Maybe only these 2 phones got issue? Don't know.

But, since changing to PCWX, no crashing issue.

Android: official app or PCWX
iOS: official app

PM function: all apps suck.

It is still in my Huawei P20 (Android 10, EMUI 10.0) Google Play Store.

There will be a warning saying the app is built for old Android version and may not work properly. But it seems to work.
