If you need NFC, you may want to go for Redmi Note 8 Pro.

2nd / travel / work phone - just need for texting?

if dm used, i would look at P3a XL.
for new, would just go for mi 9.

unsure about Realme software updates. Realme is a sub-brand of Oppo. Oppo offshoot brand is Oneplus. but all 3 have different OS

I'm looking phone to replace my 2 years huawei mate 10 but don't wish to spend more then 400 On devices. More of casual gaming mobile legend and watching video all these. Will be on Bluetooth and wifi 50 percent too.

Mi 9T Pro are not meant for the mainland China market.

The mainland China model is called Redmi K20 Pro.

I am not so sure where you get the S$400 price for Mi 9T Pro.

Redmi K20 Pro launch price is listed below. Lowest I see in Taobao now is RMB2199 for the 6GB+64GB model. But very few shops are selling it. Now the new model is the SD855+ based Redmi K20 Pro 尊享版.

Realme X is an old model already. Realme X2 (SD730G) is available in China and Europe now and soon will be available in India. Singapore probably will not get it so soon because of Realme XT (SD712).
