Hello!

I know putting money in FD is not the wisest decision.

But, I don't know what to invest in, and furthermore the market seems to be doing so well now that i'm afraid i'll enter during the high period and suffer a loss.

So deciding to put my money in FD first!

Anyone can intro and link me to banks which provide high interest rates? At least 1% de!

Hmm nowadays really quite hard to get rates above 1% for FD.. I was looking around a few banks websites like dbs, ocbc all those.. Their fixed deposit rates are around 0.55%. Maybe instead of FD, you can consider foreign currency FD? Especially the AUD one seems pretty good, saw that the rates are above 2%. worth a try if you're already thinking of fixed deposits, but most importantly is to invest only what you're willing to risk.

foreign fixed deposit return can be even lower than sgd fixed deposit due to banks spread

Foreign currency fixed deposits are not fixed deposits because it is not fixed in term of local currency. Unlike local FD, you get fluctuating interest and principal. That's investment.

Plus the chance of currency exchange lost. Singapore $ is very strong, is very hard to find a gain thru exchange rate if you are converting S$ to foreign $ and then back again.
