Been using AV Player... But its basically transfering the entire files over to iOS... space usage is 1 : 1.

But clear... then again... How bad can it be on iPhone screen?

Why you need converter? There is also VLC for iOS too. No need to convert anymore.

I'm having issues with mediaplayer (free), seems like some licensing issue which affects the audio and disables it...
Wanna find out if AV player has this problem before purchasing the app...

AV Player is the best audio/video player IMO as it can play almost all formats....recent licensing issues caused files with DTS audio encoding to play muted is the only drawback...believe you've already encountered this with mediaplayer

I agree. AVPlayer is the most convenient. No need to reencode the video file. Just play it as it is.

No one tried VLC here? The DTS audio is working fine on VLC and it is the only video player on my iPad that I use. Totally fuss free..
