Hi there! Ive tried searching online on which bank has the highest interest rates for stashing my money. Just started working and dont have enough salary to do those accounts that need salary credits (eg DBS mulitplier, OCBC 360, etc), and am looking for accounts that dont require stuff like that.

So far the best ive came across is Citibank Maxigain where i can potentially get 2% interest after a year? Anyone has any other accounts to recommend or is this the highest for my case? (planning to stash about 15k so Citi's minimum wont be a problem either)

Thanks in advance! :)

Maxigain is the one to go for as other bank usually need to tied to ~ 3 items to a bank acc .CC spend limited, salary crediting etc to entitle for a so call % of intrest.

But for maxi gain, it purely a saving acc any withdrawal, intrest will drop to 0 or 0.6% depending u r on which months

Citi Maxigain is the best if you don't want to withdraw anything.

Or you can go CIMB FastSaver since it is 1% without jumping through any hoops.

I went for UOB one, if have spending above $500 and got more than 3 giro-able bills to pay, put 50k get 2.4%. Don’t need salary crediting.

Thinking getting SAYE but haven’t really read/check it up yet. Even though got salary crediting but this one even if your salary very little can still get the 2%

Maxigain if withdraw money the counter will fall and end up 0.6+0.8= 1.4%. I put inside for long term and never ever withdraw unless emergency need to take out. This one I use last after putting $ inside other bank accounts.

Salary crediting is compulsory for Dbs multiplier but it does not have minimum amount.

Got POSB CashBack Bonus option. No need for deposit at all.

He can't hit 2k salary crediting, means he is unlikely to get credit card. And I doubt a fresh grad have mortgage loan, so there's no way he can meet at least 3 criteria for cash back bonus

Another thing is is it possible to GIRO from one account to my other? Like will that fulfill the “salary credting” criteria?

Fuss free put in Maxigain... Put and forget. Don't withdraw can liao.
Wanna withdraw, only withdraw interest.
Don't need to credit salary. Earn 2%p.a. after a year.

for UOB one, need to continuously spend min $500 every month to qualify or only those months with more $500 will still get bonus interest?

The credit card spend of $500 must be met every month to get the bonus interest for the account. Months without $500 CC spend will not get the additional bonus. Just the 0.05% for the account.

Also, the CC spend must also hit min $500 for all 3 months in the quarter or else you won't be receiving the CC rebates for the quarter.

Just a tip,for maxi gain, dont put max at 150k, cos due to the `cannot withdraw nature` your added interest exceeding 150k cannot earn more interest.

I thot dbs multiplier with salary credit coupled with saye is a gd combi to park your monthly spare cash

UOB one account for months you spend min $500 with >3 giro then for that month u get the 2.4% (assuming you pump in 50k).

The other one is the UOB credit card which has quarterly rebates of $50. Requirement is spending $500 every month. This can stack with the account assuming that since you confirm will spend more than 500 already so might as well. *Note: the credit card is not compulsory to have.

U can just go for the UOB one account with debit card if you don’t want to have the credit card.

DBS mutiplier is quite lousy Imo.

U need to hit high spending, earnings, insurance or investments to earn high interest no?

Only Citi maxigain can..but if u can't survive with the additional interest, I think CIMb more suitable...

I thot multiplier account can earn 1.85% with just salary credit and $1 bill payment. Coupled that with saye, which will earn 2% on the spare cash u throw in monthly
