Hi,

Recently I saw on numerous occasion people sticking out a stick with a smartphone or camera attached to take a selfie. How do they actually trigger the shutter ? Via timer ?

Do you guys have any recommendation on the best stick to buy (in terms of weight, length, flexibility) ?

Thanks

Cheers

either by timer or via a remote shuttle. remote shuttle can be bluetooth, or with a receiver that u plug into earpiece jack (iphone). bluetooth one, support limited app, only stock camera app and camera 360.

for the stick, got heavy weight one, which is really solid, got light weight one.

i bought a stick and a remote from taobao recently.

Thanks for input.

Just saw one at Courts that goes for S$19.90. But it's rather short and quite flimsy that doesn't come with any bluetooth shutter at all.

Could I help by mentioning the full correct term is "shutter release button". In the case of this selfie stick what you would want is a "remote shutter release mechanism". The "shutter" is inside the camera, you wouldn't getting it out anytime soon :)

the one above has a bluetooth remote lah :o

Qoo10 - PassionGadgets

this one with remote and shipping costs < $12
You even get options to buy pouch etc. ;)

I got my monopod with free phone holder for $6.98 nia.
Didn't get remote since I won't be using.
The monopod is the same that is selling everywhere (comes in an orange box).

nowadays there is new model, with the bluetooth remote shutter trigger is in the handle of the stick itself. I saw 1 around my neighbourhood, selling at $30.
