Since this one is just case + motherboard + CPU only

Go pay ~$85 for the mini case + PSU, then buy a Pentium dual-core ITX for less than $200. You pay more now, but the casing is reusable for future mobo changes.

Total = USD $156 (~SGD$220-30?) assuming i use existing SSD/HDD and LinuxMint as OS

2.5 HDD I can use existing spare SSD or rip open my USB3 2.5 1TB for its 1TB 2.5 HDD.

OS planning to use LinuxMint.

True can upgrade mobo and cpu and then re-use casing in the future.
That appears to be the only advantage.

Yeah lor, 3805U appears to be a buay pai CPU.

Clock speed also high enough to match its Core i3 counterpart. Too bad this NUC uses Pentium 3805U, Pentium 3825U same tray price but comes with hyperthreading, ceteris paribus.

This MSI Cubi NUC comes with heatsink + fan leh...

Those Core m processors failed so embarrassingly since they are equipped without fan in a chokingly tight fit environment.

You may find the fan noise annoying for these nano PCs if using for HTPC. I have 2 Zotac Nanos with fans (1 Intel, another with AMD Apu).

Recently I got the fanless Zotac Zbox C series. No more fan noise!
