Hi guys,

I want to buy a set of wireleess KB + Mouse for my HTPC connected to 38" TV. I will mainly be playing games and watching movies with the HTPC. The games I play will include FPS like Metro, strategic games and RPGs.

So for convenience of usage in a living room setting, looking to purchase wireless pheripherals (which I have never used before - this is my 1st HTPC setup).

For me, I prioritize battery life over high-end performance since I don't play competitive multiplayer games generally so average performance/price will be enough for me.

Please recommend a suitable set for me. Thanks for your input!

P.S. no need for same brand of KB and mouse, hope I didn't mislead people when I say "set"

If you want battery life, then the best choice is Logitech.

Wireless keyboard tend to have long battery life no matter what unless you buy illuminated ones. Go Microsoft or Logitech; you can't go wrong.

For mice, the most energy efficient mice are Logitechs. Choose according to your preference and budget, there's a lot of designs out there.

Thanks bro! Have been waiting for someone to reply and also did some research in the mean time.

Yea seems like Logitech is an established brand that caters to more mainstream users like me.

Any comments on this kb+mouse combo?
Wireless Desktop Keyboard & Mouse Combo MK710 - Logitech

as long as it doesn't lag too much I am alright with the price :0
