My boss bid $1k and got his number, a friend of mine bid $5k yet still lose to someone. Only yourself can decide how much that number means to you.

3 different digits and 3 of the same number will have a different price tag.

Only yourself can decide how much that number means to you.

If the alphabet doesn't matter to you, just whack $1,001 every new series ... that extra $1 just to outbid anyone that bid the minimum $1k, but if anyone bid higher, then just treat it as not yours means not yours.

But if other factors e.g. the alphabet matters ... just like how last time SDS2000 SFS2000 SGS2000 all taken by S2000 owners then how much to bid depends on how badly you want this specific combination.

You must be joking. All golden numbers have a market rate. $1k won't get you such numbers.

Go and monitor the bidding, usually any numbers( 3 to 4 digits) that is still available on the 2nd bidding - you should be able to get them below $1100 unless you really no luck.

bidding process is it 'live'? i.e. can see current highest bid for the number you want and increase your bid if necessary

if not means bo bian need to first time whack a damn high bid if you want guarantee?

unfortunately, there are no checks and balances in bidding your carplate... in our neighboring country, they will publish who bid for what number and what is the winning bid..

over here, nope... if you see the number you want to bid on another car, chances are they bid higher than u... there is no transparency over here.
