Binary Options Trading Thread

Hi all HWZ members,

I would like to know if anyone here trades binary options? It's a relatively new form of trading and it is very simple. I started trading quite awhile ago and i would like to gather some like-minded people together so we can discuss strategies to beat the market!

So if anyone one trades binary options please comment here! I have some strategies i have one my own, so maybe we can share how we do things here so that more people will know of this form of trading!

P.S There is a similar thread, but it's old, hence i took the liberty to create a new one. HAPPY CNY GUYS!!

Playing Binary Option is NOT Trading, it's Gambling.

If you can trade, you won't play Binary Option because you are limiting your winnings.

Take from a trader.

Every successful traders I know, don't play binary option.

Every binary option players I know, are gamblers and they all end up losing in the end.

I have to correct you in your accusation, all forms of investments are gambling if you do not do your homework, or so not follow the rules of the trading strategies you choose. It's all about choosing the correct strategies to suit your trading style.
I find that trading binary is more time saving compared to Forex where you have to do lots of research (fundamental and technical.. That's my opinion, hope you do not take offense..

Let me correct you.

No real trading platform limit a trader's profit and his ability to take action while the trade is in play. Only binary option does this.

A casino limits your winning and don't allow you to touch your chips and cards while the game is in play. Binary option works just like a casino.

I'm just sharing what real traders do and don't.

A real trader will not want his profit limited and his action tied down. This is why we don't play binary option. If I can make $100, why limit it to $10?

FYI, no professional trader play binary option.

How long more to tell? Binary options have been around for so many years and u can see online brokers advertising aggressively online everywhere. I can't wait for years to see who can turn out to be the correct person...

You have to take note that your losses are fixed and your profits are also fixed in binary. Hence all forms of gain/loss is shown to you
But in Forex, if you have no money management, and you do not set any stop loss levels, you can end up losing so much more. Eg. if you buy 2 lot of EUR/USD, and it drops 20 pips, you can end up with so much losses (close to $400) 1pip=$10.

Both have it's pros and cons.. so lets not debate anymore on which is better. Obviously you feel trading binary options is gambling.. that's because you don't have a correct strategy, and you end up losing.

If and when you start making money like me from trading, you'll know why I said it's a gambling tool.

Binary options aren't "relatively new". They've been quoted interbank for decades, and been made available to retail for, I reckon, at least a decade.

They're also terrible trading vehicles. Longer-dated binary options have awful risk profiles - and the shorter-dated ones are just pure gambling vehicles (I guarantee you the market-makers don't even hedge them out).

You can trade binary options on FX, stocks, commodities, rates, whatevs. And you still have to do the research - you're still expressing a view on the market whether you trade it through binary options, vanilla options, spot, futures, or power reverse dual currency inverse snowball floater structured notes with a 4.3 degree of difficulty in the pike position.

I used to make markets in these things. They're fine if you're a hedge fund, but they're deeply not OK for retail investors.
