Biostar Z87x 3D + 4670K setup

Hi guys,

Was planning to get this combo for a long time, got attracted by the "HI-FI" theme of the Biostar Mobo. For this price range at 448 (trade pac) are there any other setups that are worth mentioning at this price range?

biostar is a very old brand like gigabyte.
they make very value for money boards.
for that kind of price my board lasted for 3 to 4 years. i was using on socket 7 series and core2duo mobo.

i just bought myself an asus vanguard. 5 years warranty. not gonna oc anyway.

intel ssd from amazon is a hoot. if u buying locally, other brands performs better and cheaper.

am on a budget so i purchased sandisk ultra plus 128gb... nothing fantastic but value for money.

since u looking at buget, try gigabyte 270x. value for money and scores are close.
am targeting 280x. waiting for money...

i had a gigabyte 560ti oc, solid build and long lasting.

Well, if i am not wrong, you have to pay to send back to US. Not sure how much though, just treat it as a taxi fare for you if you were to make a local purchase.

I bought a used gaming card before from ebay. I saved alot of money and confirmed it work. Because it is used, the seller has to guarantee it works. But if it were to spoil, totally different story. So far no issues for me.

So far i purchased 3 asus motherboards in my life. Vanguard is the lastest, bought today. Yet to start cause the store have yet to receive my fsp aurium.
1st mobo Asus A7V pro, DOA.. Cpu tray faulty...
2nd mobo Asus M5A97 Pro, DOA PCI-E slot faulty...
3rd mobo Asus Vanguard, status unknown.... will update you when i have my psu.

Not scaring you, but only some parts are worth buying locally...

Get eVGA if you are getting Nvidia cards from Amazon. Their warranty is international but I am not so sure about the other brands.

Not really international. International means even sg can warranty. It allows people whom bought the evga to send back to taiwan for servicing. Slightly cheaper than you ship it to america.

So far the only brand that I would dare to say that has international warranty on all electronics except their phone range would be Sony.

just getting it in case and I'm sure the resale value of the 4670k would be better over the years

yah, get the K version. resale value is better. u get back relatively more than u paid for.
and sometimes, just sometimes, you might get lucky with your chip and get a 5ghz gem on decent voltage!

Very much depends on how well the chip is cooled. And lastly how good the transistors are. Also depends on how clean source of energy you have from PSU.
