Can I ask what is the appeal of these shoes? I might be ignorant...they became popular when I was in Uni and all students start buying them . They look hippy enough and they said they are super comfortable. Never liked them never will...but I didn't know they were so popular still!

They have both hard and soft range. Personally prefer the soft range.

Due to my low arch I always have pain wearing flip flop. But after awhile Birkenstock will mould to your feet and is super comfortable.

actually to be honest, Birkenstock is not very durable, after awhile the side cushion will crack and come out ( the part when it bends when walking).

birks thought they stink like ****? i can never wear these due to sweaty feet

Any model the foot rest is all the same. . Very comfortable.. Just design different..
