Went ahead despite the current situation. Took jet star 7am flight. Took over to clear immigration. All normal at airport.. no closure... got my simcard from dtac 299 baht.

Updates all the way from bkk.

The airport is ok took and alight at rachapraprod station walked to indra regent.many protesters though at 10am 11am all heading to the blockage atbjunction big c juction platinum mall.all peaceful,no incident here while I was there. Everyone seems to be enjoying. Many sales of t shirt n props. . Just like during our GE.
Then took the river boat for 10b to bobae. River very dirty though haha.also took a tuk tuk to yaowarat market...

Forget to include. Electricity was cut off for a few hours though at my hotel indra regent while I was waiting to check in.

Rail. It was cheap 40b only n fast. Definitely faster than taxi.good to select hotels very near to rail.

Me just curious asking , we oso suppose to stay at baiyoke sky if we are gg to bkk this period. Is the nite pasar malam below the hotel open during this period ? Pratunam mkt open ?

Me just curious asking , we oso suppose to stay at baiyoke sky if we are gg to bkk this period. Is the nite pasar malam below the hotel open during this period ? Pratunam mkt open ?

night market, early morning market, all pratunam markets all ok.. and V crowded.. street hawkers all there.. though protest site just next to platinium, beside the public river boat.. by Big C. they are peaceful. . walked past there everyday.. super rich exchange is there. lots of pasar malam stalls setup there selling the shut down accessories.. good business.

just dont bother to take the public transport Bts during peak hour.. horrific... I was a sardine pack and push onto the train... absolutely crazy. .. nothing like the orderly manner in sg. so avoid bts during evening peak hour. regretted not taking the tuk tuk instead. ..
