Hi, I notice the top left corner of my screen have some sort of black stains that appear prominent on grey/ blue background but not visible on white background or any other colour.

Anyone knows what's wrong with it?

The image is similar to this:

Hmm, apparently my iPhone 6 also has that too! But I haven't gotten to the service centre to replace one.

My 6s+ got that too.

Mine near bottom left. Waiting for it to get more serious before considering going for exchange

My iPhone 6 Plus had that "discolouration" on the top left hand side of the display.

Sent it in and got a new LCD screen replaced for me. Thankfully I had one more month of warranty left.

Wow, Judging from the number of ppl who have the same issue, it seems to be a fault on apple QC. Did all of you purchase your 6+/6s+ when the phone first launch? (During the first 3 days?)

Seemingly so but whether it's on the fault of QC depends on how long they did their QC tests on their LCD screens.

After all, I believe most of us had this issue close to a year of owning the phone. My set is should the second batch since it was a refurbished set.

Unless Apple tests their phone's LCD for 1 year before sales, I doubt we can fault them for QC failure.

Met up with a friend who is using iP6. His is even worst than mine. Also on the top left corner... hhmmmmm.

Best part is, he didn't even notice prior to this. :s13:

Yes, it's quite hard to notice. Gonna keep on a lookout for such "stains" on future phones. Is the picture a 6+?

Both phones I posted were iPhone 6. I tried googling around and seems like not many complaining about this. Probably because most don't notice. Hahah

Strange indeed. i have another friend with a 6+ and also the same darker pixels in the top left corner. His looks to be in worst state than mine, but he also didn't notice until I told him. Don't see much reports about this on apple support forums also, just a handful. :s13:

not sure what exactly is the problem. if u have a white iphone, reboot it and notice the left corner when the black apple logo comes out with the bright and white backdrop...u will see that it the black pixels will not appear here
