that time i rent car overseas just top up a bit more for zero excess. no point saving on such things.
you don't buy zero excess the car rental company can chut pattern gao gao
SG no collision damage waiver for some rentals.
I know tribecar have, Smove didn't have, BlueSG none, GetGo has, etc. So it's not an option for most, but should always be prepared to fork out the money if anything happens.
What I realize in most rental companies is that when borrowing time, they quickly scan the car and ask u sign the rental form.. but when returning time they really 100% check the car and tell u ding here scratch here etc..
Ever once when I returned the courtesy car when my car was in workshop, the fellow went round n round to check the car even after I signed the returned form...
Then you should when borrowing time, 100% check the car, and mark down all the dings, scratches here etc... when returning just quickly scan and return them.
So far, with my bad experience on getting courtesy car (sigh. yes accident) I never had them check so meticulously. They are aware rental cars are subjective to minor damages here and there and they don't really care. I remember I got a 1.8 Civic for courtesy car and the workshop don't even care what petrol I put inside when I asked. Civic 1.8 is minimum Ron95, they tell me Ron92 also can, they don't care.
Not sure about you...
