It's always the 'it will never happen to me' mentality. The younger you are, the more confident you are, which ends up being more arrogant, which ends up being careless :s13:

I cancelled my BlueSG sub liao
Always no car when you need, don't allow prebooking, app like crap and the excess amount is dodgy to say the least
Every month continue to charge me $8

For point A to B take Grab sua
If multi leg journey Getgo is actually not bad. At least the excess only 1.6k + 1.6k with the additional 5% topup

Good move.

And if you get into an accident riding a public car like Comfort del Gro, they will pay you regardless if you dont have any scratch or injury! That's how easily earned thousand of dollar when I was riding a CDG car and I got into an accident. Easy money! LOL

As the saying goes, you siam far far, but you cannot hide from a BlueSG bumper car.

Up to $16k of COE could be used up in this momentous crash.

Another common issue with these car sharing is the car might not be properly maintained or there is excessive wear and tear due to abuse by some renters. In such cases, the rental might look ok but it's a ticking time bomb.

If a minor part gave way it probably won't cause anything major, but if there is issue with brake, tyre or a wheel popped out then good luck to the person renting at that point in time.

Do own due diligence and checks lor.

I picked up a rental car that had very bald rear tyres, I didn't realise at all until my rear keep failing to grab the surfaces as I turn or accelerate. Upon checking, the taya thread is not even at the minimum safety level required for operations.

Made a complain to the rental company and wrote on a big piece of paper 'rear tyres bald, do not use this car' and put into the car windscreen so that the next fella don't pick up the car and call for another.

What I realize in most rental companies is that when borrowing time, they quickly scan the car and ask u sign the rental form.. but when returning time they really 100% check the car and tell u ding here scratch here etc..

Ever once when I returned the courtesy car when my car was in workshop, the fellow went round n round to check the car even after I signed the returned form...

SG no collision damage waiver for some rentals.

I know tribecar have, Smove didn't have, BlueSG none, GetGo has, etc. So it's not an option for most, but should always be prepared to fork out the money if anything happens.

Then you should when borrowing time, 100% check the car, and mark down all the dings, scratches here etc... when returning just quickly scan and return them.

So far, with my bad experience on getting courtesy car (sigh. yes accident) I never had them check so meticulously. They are aware rental cars are subjective to minor damages here and there and they don't really care. I remember I got a 1.8 Civic for courtesy car and the workshop don't even care what petrol I put inside when I asked. Civic 1.8 is minimum Ron95, they tell me Ron92 also can, they don't care.

Not sure about you...

Stupidity comes in many forms. So, when accidents happen, make sure, at the very least, a driver is not at legal fault.

A BlueSG gets ready for upcoming F1 as he smashes into a stationary Shuttle, shattering it.

Another smashes at one of the hottest accident spots of PIE.

Downfall for the drivers, double windfall for BlueSG.
