Can anyone confirm if ezlink payment counts towards the credit card spending criteria?
Is the spending for both main and sup card holders? TIA

The following transactions do not qualify for this bonus:

Cash withdrawal
Fees or charges
Funds transfer or cash advance
Transactions on BOC Cards that are terminated or unsuccessful
The unposted amounts under Installment Payment Plan (“IPP”) and Flexi-Balance transactions
Any amount charged to your BOC Debit or Credit Cards that is subsequently cancelled, voided or reversed
AXS payments (transactions via all AXS channels, including AXS station, AXS e-station, AXS m-station, etc.)
Any other transactions BOC may determine as not eligible for Card Spend bonus from time to time without prior notice.

Ezlink clearly not in the exclusion list

Supp card enjoy same benefits of 7%/5%/1% rebate if meet min $500 total spend across main/supp cards; and if spend min $200 on supp card(s) on "others" (those that earn 0.5%), then get additional 2%(capped at $20 monthly) for these "others".

Nope. Better to use Supp card as you enjoy the same benefits as main card for the various category plus the additional “Others” category (additional 2% rebates with minimal $200 use per month)

Hey, are you saying if i hit min. Spend of $500 on supp card. I can enjoy rebates of the main card as well ? I do not have to use main card at all to hit the 500.00 min. Spend. Correct me if i'm wrong.

The $500 spend is combined from both main and Supp card. So can just use the Supp card for all BOC CC transactions. Only additional condition is for the “Others” category, it must be a minimal $200 spend per month (which can be part of the $500 monthly spend).

All the rebate eligible transactions are combined into the main card so Supp card spends have the same rebate amounts except for the extra 2% for “Others” transactions.

Correct. Just need combined spend of $500.

My parents spend about $450 and I cover the remaining $50.

is this BOC account better than OCBC 360?
if I spend the same amount for giro, credit card, bills?
not happy with OCBC customer service on my credit card late charges waive. and wanted to close all the cards and accounts with them. if BOC is good then I will transfer all funds to them and also credited salary to them instead of OCBC.

Sorry if this is off-topic, but I can't seem to find any info here or on the BOC site itself.

With regard to the MCS account which the SmartSaver feature is pegged to, the website says it "is a statement-based consolidated account covering both local currency and nine foreign currencies".

Anyone knows which are the 9 foreign currencies?

I wish to deposit some USD into the account. Does it remain as USD or will it be converted to SGD? Any advice from the experienced folks here would be greatly appreciated :)

searched this thread and googled over the web, also cannot find which are the 9 foreign currencies, the info from the bank webpage really pathetic

I moved from OCBC 360 to BOC SmartSaver
Agreed that OCBC CS is not easy on fee waiver including annual fee, with exception of Plus visa card

I jumped from OCBC to BOC Smartsaver and UOB One as I could hit conditions for both accounts.

2 considerations if you want to switch:
1. If you intend to get the BOC Family CC, apply that early. It took me 7+ weeks to get the card. I had to use the BOC debit card for the first 2 months of opening the BOC account to hit the minimal spend
2. Consider keeping a basic savings account with another bank for easier ATM access. I’m using my UOB One for that purpose. Just FAST the amount over from BOC and withdraw from the UOB/OCBC ATM.
