Yup. Credit card sending bonus interest is based on calendar month.

Rebates for credit card is based on statement month though.

just to confirm..even though the Credit card statement date is not by 1st of the month, the clocking for $500 to quality for the credit card spending interest bonus is still tied to 1st to last day of the month?

now boc and tune their billing cycle to match calendar cycle a not ar?

Nope, for Credit Card billing cycle there are a few dates, depends which cycle you on. Just note that Credit card spend bonus for BOC Smart Saver is based on successful posting on calendar month instead.

Let's be more specific.

If you clock S$500-S$1500 you fall into the 0.8% bonus for your first 60k deposit for the BOC Smart Saver. It calculate the successful posting spending on the BOC Credit Card on calendar month (i.e. 1 Dec to 31 Dec's posting), which you can check in the iBanking website.

Take for example, on 29 Dec, you spent $100 at a dining restaurant, however the posting of bill somehow it was posted on 4th Jan instead. Therefore, on 29 Dec, the $100 you spent is counted to Jan 2018 month instead of Dec 2017.

can use boc masters debit card to pay to citibank cc via AXS app/website

Thanks Trazora. Can this payment method be counted as one of the three bill payments criteria to enjoy the higher interest rate for boc smartsaver account?

yes. only bill payment on boc online/ mobile app or GiRO bill payment from the smartsaver account count to the 3x bill payment for bonus interest.

AXS excluded from card spend for bonus interest.

ya..this I understand...cannot spend on last few days...dangerous..cos might spill into the next month cycle..
I was just thinking that it's quite complicated to track separately from the billing...why cant they just stick to 1 to 30 of the month for billing...

correct me if I am wrong, I think they do this purposely, to make us hard to track/spent
