Last month I was short of 1 x bill payment to be eligible for the bill payment bonus interest 0.35% p.a. Is there any chance for a successful appeal to BOC for the bill payment bonus interest to be credited on an exception basis?

low chance but no harm trying.

Is there a way to check what giro deductions I have successfully been set up with besides tracking the actual deduction when it goes through? I got a text from BOC saying my GIRO is successfully set up but not sure how to check that... :s22:

In online banking, check under bill payment transaction inquiry.

It's empty there, do I need to at least have completed 1 bill pay successfully? My status now is received the message saying it has been set up but I haven't actually done any payment.:s11:

Oh! My reply was regarding bill payment. Do you mean you applied a bill paid by giro?
Sorry, I did not apply giro, don't know how to check in internet banking. If can't find anything in internet banking, better call hotline to check.

Enjoy 0.35% p.a. Payment bonus interest when you successfully complete 3 bill payments of at least S$30 each via GIRO or BOC Internet Banking/BOC Mobile Banking Bill Payment function.
Payments via other forms (such as cash, cheque, cashier’s order, AXS etc.), and payments subsequently cancelled, reversed or voided are not eligible.
It may take up to 1-3 working days for bill payments via GIRO and BOC Internet Banking/BOC Mobile Banking Bill Payment function to be posted. Only payments transactions with actual deduction dates within the month will be eligible.
Payment bonus is applicable to the first S$60,000 of your account balance.

I'd like to just clarify what this means. Does this include 'manual' payments made or scheduled each month via the Bill Pay function of the website, AND automatic GIRO deductions that we have set up to pay bills of utilities, other credit cards, etc. (what is otherwise called recurring billing or such)?

I guess GIRO auto bill-pay is bit less reliable for the 'within calendar month' calculation because the debit date can be a day or two after the payment due date?

Don’t need recurring . Either using internet banking / mobile scheduled or immediate and/or giro.

Just 3 transaction with min $30 per calendar month

The 3 transactions must be made to different bill or can be to the same bill?

My statement came with a letter stating that they're starting E-statements.

Need to go to branch in person or submit written consent to stop receiving paper statements.

According to the t&c here, card spend is calculated based on calendar month, if by say 30 oct I still have not reached the $500 requirement, what would be some good ways to reach it? I can think of just top up GrabPay? Using debit card here..

If you go grocery shopping regularly, can purchase supermarket vouchers, like ntuc, giant or sheng siong.
