1. u need the bank teller to link your card
2. if step 1 is done, u have to select it to make it appear.

someone shared this before. Please refer to start of thread (forgot the page liao)

Next best option for savings account other than smart saver? Bank or China will not open an account with me based on the passport I carry.

Thanks.

I'm considering switching from OCBC 360 to BOC Smart Saver. But I've 2 concerns.

1. How safe is my money with BOC considering China's volatile economy/stock market? I know up to $50k is insured, but what if I want to keep $55-60k to get the highest interests. Is it safe enough?

2. I'm not Chinese and cannot read Chinese either. I've read their internet banking is quite bad. Question is, how bad? What are the main drawbacks of having a BOC account in terms of internet banking, phone banking, and in general banking services?

1. This has been extensive discussed in early posts. Conclusion is BOC has very strong reserve and has a long history, so safe enough.

2. Can translate website to english. Main drawback is no mobile banking, cannot preset transfer of funds, need to link credit card at branch before u can see them in ibanking, need to link debit card urself before you can see it, shop card statement is found under name of family card, there are many options which are not yet active but listed in ibanking.....

I wouldn't use BOC as my 'main' bank honestly, but it's fine if you just do the designated monthly transactions and transfer funds to a bank with a better interface to do your actual banking in.

Is it normal for the Bookkeeping/Posting Date to be more than 10 days from Transaction Date? Done since 3/13 still haven't show up.

My suggestion to you is want to switch dun scared, scared dun switch...If China's economy is seriously going to upset, they wouldn't be the only one going down.
